I found the following article, which mentions Jan Herrington our lecturer, tonight whilst reserching for the exam;

The article is really easy to read and interesting, outlining the 10 points of authentic learning and how the writer applied authentic learning to her studies. I am beginning to think that we should have been given these exam questions at the start of the unit to research and this might have generated a more positive feel to the unit than the negative comments which are circulating at the moment.
In 2005 I moved to Australia from Devon, UK, with my husband Gareth and my two children, currently 14 and 12 years. I am originally from Pembrokeshire in Wales. Whilst in the UK I was a police officer for 16 years whilst my husband was in the Royal Navy. This lead to an interesting life! We emigrated for a better way of life and the Royal Australian Navy provided this opportunity for us. I found a new career as an Education Assistant at Leeming SHS Education Support Centre and during 2010 I enrolled as a mature aged student at Murdoch University to embark on a new journey towards becoming a Primary school teacher.
I am aware this will be a slow, but hopefully rewarding process. In the meantime I still enjoy getting out and about pounding the streets to clear my head in between all the sports and school activities of my children.
