I think I have managed to add a comment box! Problem is that when I proudly asked my husband to take a look at what I had managed all by myself he sees a like/dislike section and a comment box but I have no idea how I am supposed to retrieve the info. Perhaps in clearer light of day, and

I thought I had created a very small image to go by my name....had to laugh, the image took up whole page! Eventually found I could edit image using link with Picnik. Learnt something new - again! Picture still not what I had imagined but it gives the reader a nice photo of Eiffel Tower to look at!

Ok, so I suppose this isn't technically interesting to anyone else other than me! I am still playing around with buttons and finding out what little new things I can add. So long as I save as I go along I'm not having too much trouble. Been great to read how people have found little extras. Not sure if this post will get desired effect, but I think I am adding a picture to appear by my post. I started out trying to add the comment box to my post!!

You might wonder what this has to do with the unit, but I live in fear of the MACs we have at school. I always veer towards the faithful desktop. However, after the workshop on Tuesday I decided to have a look at the program which was mentioned, and yes, I found how to create a website on the MAC. It looks quite easy, so guess what....my class are going to create a page to descibe their last year at High School. I've decided it can only help me gain confidence. Well, I survived! In fact I have come away feeling more confident than I imagined. I think that having a family, kids to run around to sport and a husband in the Navy (although incredibly supportive), has made me organise myself quite well. I had read the online course content and was well prepared. Felt a bit of a swat with my own laptop but it was mentioned that there might be time to work on our assignments and the more practice I have on my laptop the better. Only a few of us admitted to ...

Well, here I am at last, sitting down to get on with my task. My very first website and blog page. Week one at Uni started last week and already the discussion posts are very active on EDN113. I have been feeling rather apprehensive about this unit which is why I managed to arrange my day off from work to attend Uni as an internal student this semester. In 2005 I moved to Australia from Devon, UK, with my husband Gareth and my two children, currently 14 and 12 years. I am originally from Pembrokeshire in Wales. Whilst in the UK I was a police officer for 16 years whilst my husband was in the Royal Navy. This lead to an interesting life! We emigrated for a better way of life and the Royal Australian Navy provided this opportunity for us. I found a new career as an Education Assistant at Leeming SHS Education Support Centre and during 2010 I enrolled as a mature aged student at Murdoch University to embark on a new journey towards becoming a Primary school teacher.
I am aware this will be a slow, but hopefully rewarding process. In the meantime I still enjoy getting out and about pounding the streets to clear my head in between all the sports and school activities of my children.
