In 2005 I moved to Australia from Devon, UK, with my husband Gareth and my two children, currently 14 and 12 years. I am originally from Pembrokeshire in Wales. Whilst in the UK I was a police officer for 16 years whilst my husband was in the Royal Navy. This lead to an interesting life! We emigrated for a better way of life and the Royal Australian Navy provided this opportunity for us. I found a new career as an Education Assistant at Leeming SHS Education Support Centre and during 2010 I enrolled as a mature aged student at Murdoch University to embark on a new journey towards becoming a Primary school teacher.
I am aware this will be a slow, but hopefully rewarding process. In the meantime I still enjoy getting out and about pounding the streets to clear my head in between all the sports and school activities of my children.

I wasn't going to post my details but I have enjoyed viewing other's sites and have been amused by the chat between us older students, so I thought "why not?" Time will tell if anyone takes a look. Also, today I took the Leavers class of 11 Ed support students and showed them my creation. They were amazed! We have started our own class website and they were all so interested and enthusiastic. Unfortunately though the smartboard is linked to a pc not a Mac and Yola is blocked by the Ed dept so we are using Weebly. Now I have to start all over again learning something new! Suppose it can't be a bad thing though. Might even need this forum to ask questions if I get stuck.
