iTunes saga...

I will admit now that I am lazy when it comes to technology. If someone else can do it for me I will let them, and this has been the case with iTunes. To date my husband just sorts it out for me. I tell him what music I want and hey presto the music appears! So, although iTunes might sound like a boring option to those who do it themselves normally, for me it is a whole new area to add to my expertise..LOL!!!! This will probably be a long blog as I explain I did this on Friday evening. I was determined to load iTunes onto my laptop and select my own list of songs to make a runners page as one of my social technologies. I started with logging into Apple web site and from there it was actually easy as I followed the instructions from the "download iTunes" tab. I'm not really sure whether to post each step as it really was easy to follow the steps. I have written each step down in case I find from the LMS discussions that these are needed, but for now I won't bore you! I will add though that my son wants his laptop to have his own iTunes list and I will help him later!!!
Anyway, that turned out to be the easy part! I then went through all the songs I wanted and it turned out to be a late night as I ripped songs from CD's using Windows media player. This I was shown by my husband but now know how to do. The result over the weekend is that I have lots of songs ready that I can use for running on my laptop in my own iTunes list. Now for the HARD part....I thought that I would be able to put an iTunes widget on my webpage but I just can't. Frustrated, I searched webs and all sorts of chats but I think it is because I have Windows 7. As a result I have posted a request for help on LMS. I have had to visit a sick friend this morning and come home eagerly to find any replies which might help, but things get worse.....Murdoch site is down!!!! Will have to wait I suppose until later or even the workshop on Tuesday. Await patiently please......
