Linking websites

What a day, what a mix of frustration and achievement! Our group, Shimano, Jasmine and I met to put some finishing touches to the presentation and website. Still no word from Tandia so we have powered on without her. We used Facebook to make contact with her and to ask her to contact us as soon as she returns from her trip, funny she accepted to be a friend but no message! We have made the decision that she opens the presentation and closes it, but as she has not been around to experience our problems we do not feel confident that she will be able to effectively explain the process. I have struggled with linking the Dept of Education webpage onto our website. I searched the Google help forum and eventually found an explanation which I was able to understand. It seems that I wasn't linking the DET the correct way, I just expected to copy and paste the www address and I would then be able to click on the link in our website and it would take me to the DET page I wanted! It took me a while to understand that I needed to click and drag a text box widget, not a html widget, onto the page I selected, then highlight the linking words, click then on the "attach link" symbol along the tool bar which took me to a new page to paste my DET web address onto. By clicking ok I had linked my sites! I didn't initially think I'd done it though because I then had to save the page and to check it worked ok I had to preview the page. Anyway, it all worked well, and later I was able to help Shimano when she needed to link the rubrics she had created. My frustration now though, is in linking the DET wep page to the powerpoint. I will overcome it and link it, but if I am pushed for time I know that I can use Jing to create a screencapture of the page showing how we found the scope and sequence.
