In 2005 I moved to Australia from Devon, UK, with my husband Gareth and my two children, currently 14 and 12 years. I am originally from Pembrokeshire in Wales. Whilst in the UK I was a police officer for 16 years whilst my husband was in the Royal Navy. This lead to an interesting life! We emigrated for a better way of life and the Royal Australian Navy provided this opportunity for us. I found a new career as an Education Assistant at Leeming SHS Education Support Centre and during 2010 I enrolled as a mature aged student at Murdoch University to embark on a new journey towards becoming a Primary school teacher.
I am aware this will be a slow, but hopefully rewarding process. In the meantime I still enjoy getting out and about pounding the streets to clear my head in between all the sports and school activities of my children.
Music on Google presentations

Started on the powerpoint presentation today and after much searching I now know I cannot add background music to a presentation made using Google presentations. The help option on Google docs going through gmail is outdated. The same question was posed in 2009 and nothing since then. I decided to type "Can I add music to a Google presentation?" in the normal Google search and immediately there are several up to date answers which state that at present it can't be done. Our group used Google docs as none of us had used it before so it became a new authentic learning process, but I feel that it has more limitations than if we had used Microsoft powerpoint. We are using the shared facility though and it is good to see what each of us has done away from Uni.
